Art Installation
A large set of steel wings, decorated with colourful handmade clay tiles were unveiled during a ceremony held Oct. 21 — the culmination of an art project titled Metamorphosis.

Another addition to the White Rock Collection is “Fly Over”, an exceptional painting by Vancouver artist Ross Penhall. This painting has been donated by the artist in memory of William Shurniak. The shape and scope of this painting will amaze and surprise audiences!
White Rock Exhibition
Bill Shurniak’s final legacy was to leave one additional art donation to the Shurniak Art Gallery. Thirty-six pieces have come to Assiniboia from his home in White Rock, BC. This recently acquired “White Rock Collection” includes different mediums and many new artists, as well as more from some of Bill’s favorites, such as Cathelin and Kuckein. From trombones to totem poles, these paintings are from some of Canada’s finest west coast artists.
